Iceland is an island, so it may not surprise you to learn that Icelanders have a special affinity for water. Viking ancestors bravely ventured into new worlds in their brilliantly crafted longships, conquering the icy northern seas. This sense of aqua-related adventure has, no doubt, been passed down the generations. Modern-day Ielanders, while not venturing into the unknown, do love swimming. When you visit Iceland, you’ll notice a wide variety of public swimming pools, geothermal pools and natural hot springs where locals and tourists alike love to soak.

Whether you’re looking for an unusual geothermal pool experience or a more traditional public swimming pool, Húsavík’s amenities have the perfect offering.
