Gender Equality Balance Scale Award 2024

During a celebratory awards ceremony, Ásta Dís Ólafsdóttir, professor at the University of Iceland and chairman of Jafnvægisvogin, presented the recognition to the recipients, acknowledging their efforts towards gender equality and balanced leadership. 

The objective of the Equality Scale is to improve gender balance at the executive level of Icelandic companies and encourage Icelandic businesses to become role model of equality.  

Íslandshótel has participated in the Equality Scale from the beginning and has consistently met the criteria. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Íslandshótel has received this award, and it's worth noting that it was the first company in the Icelandic travel industry to achieve this recognition in 2019. 

We are very proud to receive this recognition once again and will continue our commitment to equality in the future.
